PowerPoint

PowerPoints can be used by students and/or teachers. PowerPoints are good integrating technologies because they help both the student and the teacher. When teachers use PowerPoints it helps the students have a visual of what the teacher is talking about about, helps them understand it, if they are visual learners and they can copy notes down for those that need to. It helps teachers by making it easier to teach, teachers can make student copy down notes instead of printing them for the students. Also, teachers can assign PowerPoints as projects, students will have to learn how to use the program efficiently in order to get a better outcome and a better grade, also conduct research in order to complete the project. PowerPoints also allows students to be creative, they can add pictures, videos, choose a layout, and change the font.  

YouTube

YouTube is a technology that has become very popular in classrooms. I think it’s a technology that teachers should most definitely integrate in their classrooms. YouTube can be used as a learning website and it can also be used as an entertainment website. Teachers can use YouTube videos to explain subjects a little better than how a book can explain it. There are YouTube videos on just about any subject that helps students all the time. Not only can teachers use YouTube in the classroom but they can provide it as a source for students when they are at home they can use it for further help. Not only can YouTube be used for educational purposes but when there is a small free time in class teachers can use it to show their students some entertainment. Also some teachers like to put music in the classroom and they can use YouTube to provide it. 

Tablets

Tablets have recently made an appearance in schools as an integrating technology. If tablets are available at the school it is an efficient way to help students out. Tablets are made and can be used for any learning style. The auditory learners can listen to a podcast about the subject if necessary. For visual learners if the teacher is lecturing the teacher can give those visual learners a tablet that has pictures or context of whatever subject is being lectured at the moment. And tactile learners can use the tablet by touching the screen for whatever it is they are learning that day. Tablets can also be used for those with visual impairments that can't see the board the teacher can provide on the tablet what is on the board. Tablets are can also help ESOL students because if they don’t understand something that is being taught they can use the tablet to go online and translate it. Overall tablets can help all different students when it comes to being inside and outside of the classroom.

Blog

I think that blogs are another great integrating technology that teachers can use. Blogs are an interesting useful tool because it can be used in a variety of ways. Teachers can use it to communicate with just the students or they can use it to just communicate with parents. They can also use it for the students to do projects and stay interactive with each other even though they might be at home. By using blogs it also helps the student to learn how to use a certain program efficiently. It helps the teacher create a more active environment where the students actually have to be engaged in the class. Not only can it be used by the teachers but it can also be used by the students. The teachers can assign an assignment where a student has to make a blog and will also help them work on their writing skills. 

Coolmath

Coolmath is a website that I have now known for years. I find this website to be very helpful when it comes to math it has all kinds of games; from simple math to pre-calculus. Coolmath is a website that is reliable and useful. From personal experience I know that is a great technology integrating tool, because kids find it fun to play games and at the same time they are playing games that implement math. It is also a tool that helps kids with being hands on, they are doing problems by themselves and they are able to see immediately what they are doing wrong or right. Also because it is such a big website, it contains more than the same 10 problems and allows the kids to see more variety and allows the teacher to see if the kids are actually understanding the subject or just memorizing answers.

SMART Board

I think a smart board is a great tool to use as an integrating technology. If available a SMART board can help teachers keep their student active in the classrooms. Not only does it allow teacher too keep their students engaged but it is also a great way for teachers to do presentations and also serve the web. It can also help students with the understanding of technology because they have to understand how it works before they start using is. Lastly it can also help the little kids with their fine motor skills.
